Scenario:-

Have you ever tried connecting SQL server integration service through management studio and failed to connect and receive error like Class not registered?

I recently working on importing SSIS package for my client and tried to connect integration service through SSMS and got this error.

Initially you wont see the server name while browsing for the server and if you try to put the server name manually and think to connect it, you will receive this error (Class Not Registered) on local machine.

Solution:

  • This happens due to change in the version of SQL server and SSMS-management studio.
  • Verify their respective version and install SSMS with the same version as SQL server.
  • Once done, open the SQL server management studio with Administrator and now connect the integration service.

Error is gone! Happy learning!
